Tēnā koutou katoa,
As we journey together through this year of
pilgrimage and hope, we are inspired by
Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert’s legacy of
compassion and service. Her story lives on
through each of us, as we respond to the
call of Christ to embody compassion in our
communities today.
The past months have been challenging.
Resources are limited, yet community
needs grow. Whether serving meals at the
Soup Kitchen, providing housing for elderly
residents, supporting refugees, or offering
spaces of peace in an uncertain world, the
challenges are real, but so is our commitment.
Thank you for being part of this journey. It is
a journey of great hope, and we have the
privilege of seeing that hope realised daily
through your generosity. Every prayer, every
act of kindness, every volunteer, every
donation, helps sustain our mission and
makes a meaningful difference.
In this special combined issue of our Voice
and Compassion and Hupa newsletters,
we share stories from the heart of our work,
stories that reflect the gospel call that inspired
Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert.
We invite you to keep walking this path
with us.
