National Volunteer Week celebrates the collective contribution of the 1.2 million volunteers who enrich Aotearoa New Zealand.
We had a great start to National Volunteers Week at the Compassion Soup Kitchen where the contributions of one of our long serving volunteers was recognised.
Joe Greco was recognised for his work with Compassion – he first started volunteering in 1974! Joe won the Long Service Award through the Ministry of Health Volunteer Awards presented in Parliament this afternoon. Congratulations and thank you Joe for your commitment to the work of Compassion.
