The Compassion Soup Kitchen recently joined up with Choice, a Wellington based initiative which launched at the end of May 2019.
Choice is a new payment system, where instead of making payments with your credit or debit card, you can pay with the Choice app on your phone by scanning the Choice QR code at checkout at various local cafes and businesses. Every time you pay with your card in a store there is a transaction fee. The purpose of Choice is to redirect 50% of those transaction fees to instead support local work happening in the community, which includes supporting the mahi of the Compassion Soup Kitchen.
Thank you to the team at Choice and the participating local businesses and individuals who are supporting our mahi through this new initiative.
