These are a list of items we are collecting to help stock our kitchen, provide items for our whānau and for our He Rākau Koikoi – Purposeful Activities projects:

Day one: Compassion and kindness
December is a special time of year where we show compassion and kindness to those around us. It is a special time for getting together and thinking about our community.

Day two: Gravy mix, stock, baking powder
These items will help with our whānau Christmas party menu.

Day three: Pearl barley, soup mix
These items go a long way in helping make a soup hearty and filling.

Day four: Good Registry gift card
We are one of the charities that the Good Registry supports. You can set up gift registries with proceeds going to a charity of your choice or purchase a gift card for a loved one. For more information see: https://thegoodregistry.com/

Day five: Socks and underwear (sizes M – XXL)
These items are needed for our emergency clothing room.

Day six: Ham on the bone and turkey
This is for our whānau Christmas party happening next Wednesday!

Day seven: Tinned tomatoes
Tinned tomatoes are useful to add to soups, sauces and more. They are a very valued pantry item at the Compassion Soup Kitchen!

Day eight: Eggs
These are for our fry up Friday breakfast option and are helpful for using in main meals.

Day nine: Fly Buys points
Did you know you can use your FlyBuy points for good to help purchase items for the Compassion Soup Kitchen, including sleeping bags, jandals, jackets and beanies. For more information see: http://pointsforpurpose.org.nz/
